Philosophy of Worship Music
- Scripture is the final authority of all things, including our music. The church has a heritage of fine choral music, performing a mix of the classics, spirituals, and anthems of praise, chosen for their faithfulness to the Word of God.
- Our choir members are dedicated Christians whose purpose is to glorify God.
- Our musicians are continually trained and encouraged to give their best efforts in facilitating the congregation's worship. God deserves no less than our finest effort in using our musical talent.
- We acknowledge that our musical talent is a gift from God which we must, as committed Christians, use in His service and to His glory.
- Our goal for music is to inspire the congregation to a higher spiritual level. We recognize that there are biblical examples of praising and worshipping God with music. All scriptural music is encouraged, utilizing voice and instruments.
- We incorporate the voices of our congregation to make worship a participatory and glorious event.
- We strive to meet the highest musical standards, acknowledging that we can do no less.
