Plains Presbyterian Church

Changing Our World One Person At A Time Through Worship, Fellowship, Education, Outreach, and Service

What to Expect at Plains

Plains Presbyterian Church (PPC) is part of the Southeast Louisiana Presbytery and is the largest member of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in Louisiana. The congregation is made up of both blue & white collar workers, farmers, cattlemen, retirees and homemakers. Students at PPC attend public, private and home schools. In addition to Zachary, our congregation also draws its members from several surrounding cities and towns including Baton Rouge, St. Francisville, Clinton, Jackson, Slaughter and Baker.

The Sunday services at Plains are liturgical and traditional in style.  Each service begins with three assembly songs led by our praise band.  The music during the two morning services consists of variations of organ, piano, choir, handbells and other instrumental ensembles.

We offer numerous opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship for families, children, youth, young marrieds, men, women and retirees.  PPC also has a long history of active involvement in missions at home and abroad.  For most of its 175 years PPC has been a family church.  While many descendants of the original founders are still involved in the church, the church has grown to reflect its ever growing community.  Plains has welcomed people from all over our country into its congregation and we would love to have you as part of our ever growing family.
